Fill-In Crossword Puzzles ("the App") is operated by Everyday Builds Apps ("we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App.

1. Overview

Fill-In Crossword Puzzles is an offline word puzzle game. All puzzles are included in the App and can be played without an internet connection.

We aim to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate and improve the App.

The App does not require account creation or login.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores your game data locally on your device, including:

  • Puzzle progress and completed puzzles
  • Statistics, stars and streaks
  • Your in-game currency (quills) and hint balance
  • App settings (such as light/dark mode, sound, haptics and reminders)

This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

B. Automatically Collected Information

We use third-party services that may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device type
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Country or region (approximate, derived from IP address)
  • Anonymous device and advertising identifiers
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics
  • Basic usage statistics (such as starting or completing a puzzle, or using a hint)

This information does not directly identify you.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google LLC)

We use Firebase services, including:

  • Firebase Crashlytics – to collect crash reports and diagnose stability issues.
  • Firebase Analytics – to understand general usage patterns, such as how many puzzles are played and completed, and to measure the performance of our own advertising campaigns.

Firebase may collect device identifiers and technical usage data.

Google AdMob (Google LLC)

The App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements, including optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game currency.

Google AdMob is an advertising service provided by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and process certain information from your device in accordance with Google's own privacy policies:

  • Device identifiers
  • Advertising identifiers
  • IP address (for approximate location)
  • Interaction data with advertisements

AdMob may use this information to provide personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device settings and applicable regulations.

In regions where privacy regulations apply (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the App may request your consent before displaying personalized advertisements. Users may choose whether to receive personalized ads or non-personalized ads. Consent choices are managed using Google's User Messaging Platform and can be updated at any time through the App's privacy settings if available.

In-App Purchases (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment details.

We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to manage purchases and restore them on your device. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous app user identifier. It does not receive your name or payment details.

Local Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules puzzle reminders directly on your device, based on your locally stored progress. No notification data is sent to us or to any third party. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App's Settings or in your device settings.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Maintain and improve app stability
  • Diagnose crashes and technical issues
  • Improve the game and the puzzles
  • Deliver and optimize advertisements
  • Measure the performance of our own advertising campaigns
  • Process and restore in-app purchases

We do not sell personal data.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Your game progress, statistics and settings are stored locally on your device.
  • Technical, analytics and advertising data may be processed by Google Firebase and AdMob.
  • Purchase records are processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat.
  • We take reasonable steps to protect information through reputable third-party infrastructure providers.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

  • Local game data remains on your device until you reset your progress in the App, delete the App or clear app data.
  • Crash and analytics data retention is managed by Google Firebase in accordance with their policies.
  • Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat in accordance with their policies.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

  • The right to access data
  • The right to request deletion
  • The right to restrict or object to processing

Because your game data is stored locally on your device, you may delete it by:

  • Using "Reset progress" in the App's Settings
  • Deleting the App
  • Clearing app storage from device settings

You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings.

For requests related to third-party data processing (such as Firebase, AdMob or RevenueCat), please refer to their privacy documentation, or contact us and we will help where we can.

If you are located in regions where consent is required for certain types of data processing (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), the App may request your consent for personalized advertising. You may change your consent preferences at any time through the App's privacy settings or device privacy controls.

9. International Data Transfers

Third-party services such as Google Firebase, AdMob and RevenueCat may process data on servers located outside your country of residence.

These providers use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document when changes occur.

Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using Fill-In Crossword Puzzles ("the App"), operated by Everyday Builds Apps ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fill-In Crossword Puzzles, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum required age in your jurisdiction) and that you accept these Terms in full.

2. Description of the App

Fill-In Crossword Puzzles is a mobile word puzzle game in which players fit a list of words into a crossword-style grid.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose
  • Interfere with the App's operation or security
  • Use cheats, exploits or unauthorized software to obtain in-game currency or items

4. Purchases and In-Game Currency

The App is free to play and offers optional in-app purchases. The App does not offer subscriptions.

Premium

A one-time purchase that removes ads and may include additional in-game content, as described in the App at the time of purchase. Premium can be restored on your devices through "Restore purchases" using the same App Store or Google Play account.

Quills (In-Game Currency)

Quills are an in-game currency that can be earned by playing, earned by watching optional rewarded ads, or purchased in packs. Quills can be spent on in-game items such as hints, puzzle skips and streak restores.

  • Quills have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to other players or sold.
  • Purchased quill packs are consumed once delivered and cannot be restored by "Restore purchases".
  • Your quill balance is stored on your device. Deleting the App, clearing its data or resetting your progress will permanently remove any unspent quills.
  • We may adjust in-game prices, earning rates and available items from time to time.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Refund requests are handled according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, puzzles, design, code, and assets within the App are the exclusive property of Everyday Builds Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Everyday Builds Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including the loss of game progress or in-game currency, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the App at any time without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above when changes occur. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
